I'm working on an exciting opportunity with a leading global investment management firm to recruit a Fund Accounting Manager for their Funds Business team, based in Dublin. The Role:
As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will oversee the fund accounting and administration for a range of European public funds. You'll work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operational management and excellent service delivery for investors. You will also play a significant role in supporting broader business development and project initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the European fund accounting function, ensuring operational excellence
- Respond to internal and external fund accounting queries efficiently
- Coordinate and review fund dividend distributions, including governance oversight
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors involved in fund administration
- Support Account Management and Business Development teams on fund-related queries
- Assist with fund lifecycle events such as launches and liquidations
- Lead or support various projects focused on process improvement, systems enhancement, and operational efficiency
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in fund accounting within the investment management industry
- Strong understanding of mutual fund operations (advantageous but not essential)
- Project management skills and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail with a client-first approach
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; VBA experience would be a plus
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and analytical capabilities
- Adaptable and flexible with a strong team-focused mindset
