We're recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for an experienced Senior Qualitative Researcher to join a behavioral insights team that supports evidence-based decision-making in the energy sector. This role offers the opportunity to shape impactful research, guide policy development, and support the transition to sustainable energy.
This is an eighteen month contract and can be based in Dublin, Cork, or Dundalk. (Hybrid working model)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead qualitative research projects to inform behavioral policy and interventions.
- Mentor and support colleagues in qualitative research methodologies.
- Present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Translate behavioral evidence into actionable policy and programme recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, government bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in national and international forums.
Essential Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification (NFQ Level 9 or higher) in behavioral science, psychology, sociology, economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in a research role with extensive qualitative research expertise.
- Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of behavioral science and its application to public policy.
Desirable:
- PhD or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g. R), survey design, and energy or climate-related research.
- Experience mentoring others and working in multidisciplinary teams.
