Morgan McKinley are delighted to partner exclusively with a leading bespoke distribution company based in West Dublin as they seek to hire a new Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team and lead them into a growth phase within the organisation.
As Warehouse Operations Manager you will be responsible for a team of 30+ employees within the warehouse and will have the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors directly reporting to you making the ideal candidate for this role someone who has a strong people management record with a project management background being very beneficial as well.
Working closely with the Managing Director, the Warehouse Operations Manager will be expected to have overall operational responsibility, drive strategic objectives, setting and exceeding annual targets and be responsible for H&S as well.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and develop operational performance standards across the warehouse.
- Set objectives for staff and departments (Goods In, Despatch, Stock Control) and conduct regular appraisals to review performance.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and continuous development throughout the business.
- Lead regular management review meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety regulations, maintaining adherence to all relevant legislation.
- Oversee supplier operational compliance in line with company policies.
- Manage and control operational overheads effectively.
- Ensure systems are optimized, scalable, and future-proof.
- Oversee tendering and monitoring of transportation contracts for the Ireland region.
- Manage and review the utilization of external storage facilities.
- Attend and contribute to operational group meetings.
- Maintain and adapt warehouse racking and systems as needed.
- Propose and justify operational capital expenditures.
- Oversee forklift procurement and leasing in line with company policy.
- Source and implement sustainable packaging solutions.
- Develop and execute a business plan focusing on key objectives for the year.
- Support the development and implementation of drop-ship facilities.
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to operational, financial, and service-level objectives set by the Group.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
- Fulfill company requirements and undertake specific tasks as agreed with the Managing Director or Directors.
