A medical device client in Galway is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join their team on a 12-month hourly rate contract.
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in new product development, contributing to design, technology advancement, automation, vendor management, and project management. Your work will focus on developing cutting-edge technologies, equipment, and manufacturing processes for our next-generation medical devices.
Utilize Design, Reliability & Manufacturability (DRM) principles and 3D modeling to develop high-quality manufacturing solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute new product development requirements.
Drive process innovation by improving quality, technical rigor, and developing state-of-the-art systems, from mechanized to semi-automated solutions.
Support process development, characterization, and validation for new product introductions.
Apply Design for Six Sigma tools (DOE, MSA, DMAIC, Requirements Flow, Brainstorming) to solve complex technical challenges.
Document and present insights to project and functional teams through Technical Reviews, Design Reviews, and Project Dashboards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Process Development organization.
Bachelor's degree (Level 8 or higher) in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Ideally, 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong team player with the ability to work proactively in a cross-functional environment.
Knowledge of medical device processes with a solid understanding of product and process design.
Excellent communication skills in English, with a high level of enthusiasm and motivation.
Strong organizational, presentation, and project management skills are desirable.
