As the Group Financial Controller, you'll be instrumental in:
- Orchestrating Accurate and Insightful Financial Reporting: You'll be the conductor of our financial narrative, ensuring timely and precise reporting that provides a clear and comprehensive picture of our performance.
- Driving Strategic Decision-Making through Proactive Analysis: Go beyond the numbers! You'll delve deep into operational and financial data, providing incisive variance analysis and actionable insights to empower the finance team and senior leaders to achieve our financial aspirations.
- Fortifying Our Financial Foundations: You'll be the guardian of our internal accounting controls, rigorously monitoring and strengthening them across all locations, and expertly managing our annual external financial audit.
- Championing Operational Excellence: You'll be a key player in our group-wide operational excellence programme, ensuring the finance function is a driving force for continuous improvement.
- Leading High-Impact Financial Projects: From seamlessly integrating newly acquired businesses to spearheading standardisation and automation initiatives, you'll take ownership of critical projects that directly impact our efficiency and growth.
- Ensuring Flawless Statutory Compliance: You'll be the authority on statutory reporting, guaranteeing accurate and timely submissions to Companies House, HMRC (UK), and relevant authorities in our other operating countries.
- Contributing to Strategic Financial Planning: You'll play a vital role in supporting the preparation of our annual budgets, providing essential financial intelligence to inform our strategic direction.
- Mentoring and Guiding Finance Teams: You'll lead and develop finance department staff across our group locations, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Navigating the Landscape of Tax and Treasury: You'll manage tax reporting, including corporation tax and VAT, and support our treasury function, nurturing strong local banking relationships.
What will make you a successful candidate?
- A Proven Track Record: You'll bring 7+ years of post-qualification experience in a senior finance management role, demonstrating your ability to thrive in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Top-Tier Qualifications: You'll be a qualified ACA, ACCA, or ACMA finance professional, possessing a strong theoretical foundation.
- Technical Mastery: Your deep technical knowledge in accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, and financial management will be second to none, complemented by a strong understanding of external audit practices.
- Commercial Acumen: You'll possess a solid grasp of taxation, treasury, and risk management, coupled with sound general business knowledge. Experience in a manufacturing setting will be a significant advantage.
