Reporting directly to the Area Branch Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily purchasing and stock control activities, supporting procurement strategies that align with broader business goals.
Purchasing Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join a dynamic retail and building supply operation in Limerick. Reporting directly to the Area Branch Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily purchasing and stock control activities, supporting procurement strategies that align with broader business goals.
Coordinate the full lifecycle of Purchase Orders (PO) from initiation to delivery.
Monitor sales trends and use system-generated re-order reports to maintain ideal stock levels.
Assist in preparing purchasing forecasts for both short- and long-term planning.
Collaborate with the Stock Controller and Sales Team to manage and reduce aged stock.
Serve as the first point of contact for purchasing-related queries from suppliers and internal teams.
Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to supplier evaluation and relationship management efforts.
Help ensure stock levels meet the operational and commercial needs of the business.
Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.
Work closely with Sales and suppliers to support a high standard of customer service.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a purchasing, buying, or supply chain coordination role.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and stock control methods.
Background in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Inventory Management Software, ERP, or WMS systems.
Capable of preparing clear, data-driven reports for management.
