In this critical role, you will advise customers over the phone, ensure full adherence to Japanese pharmaceutical regulations, and manage processes that directly impact the safety and accuracy of pharmaceutical fulfillment nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Japanese pharmaceutical regulations (including the PMDA Act) and assess the appropriateness of online and OTC medicine sales.
- Provide accurate medication guidance and服薬指導 via phone consultations, customizing support based on individual customer needs.
- Respond to inquiries about side effects, offer post-purchase care, and recommend medical consultations when needed.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance of online product listings and manage regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee shipment processes for pharmaceuticals and medical devices within the fulfillment center.
- Provide input on facility-wide safety and hygiene protocols and assist with implementation.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to support customers and refine communication strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Valid Pharmacist license in Japan.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry (e.g., hospital, dispensing pharmacy, drugstore).
- At least 1 year in OTC pharmaceutical sales in a face-to-face setting.
Technical Skills:
- PC proficiency for conducting online research and maintaining real-time records during calls.
Soft Skills:
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Initiative and ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Team player with adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards and strong judgment, particularly with respect to PMDA compliance.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Conversational
