Roles/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop machine learning algorithms that enhance recognition and control technologies for autonomous driving and driver assistance systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Implement and optimize AI models for vehicle prediction, behavior planning, and trajectory generation using machine learning techniques, focusing on accuracy and efficiency in dynamic driving environments.
- Conduct software design and coding for AI recognition algorithms, including pruning, quantization, and distillation, ensuring compatibility with embedded electronic control units (ECUs) in vehicles.
- Develop frameworks for the learning and validation of AI models and software, utilizing MLOps practices and constructing simulation environments to facilitate robust testing and evaluation.
- Create and curate diverse datasets for training and testing AI models, incorporating real-world measurements and synthetic data generation to improve model performance and reliability.
- Engage in on-site evaluations and collaborate with international partners to refine technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and addressing challenges in real-world driving scenarios.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and automotive technology, contributing insights and innovations to enhance the development of autonomous driving and driver assistance systems.
Required skills
- Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, with hands-on experience in AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, as well as cloud deployment tools including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with embedded code implementation for autonomous driving systems, along with knowledge of privacy regulations like GDPR and standards such as ASIL and Automotive SPICE Level 2 or higher.
- Business level Japanese and English
Preferred skills
- Over three years of experience in developing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technologies, including practical knowledge of sensors like cameras, radar, lidar, and sonar for enhanced functionality.
- Proven track record in developing large-scale systems, with expertise in software testing, mass production code for embedded systems, and compliance with industry standards like ASIL and Automotive SPICE Level 2.
- Strong understanding of machine learning optimization techniques, with experience in functional evaluation of autonomous driving features using actual vehicles to ensure performance and safety in real-world scenario
