Key Responsibilities
- Ensure stable IT operations and meet local SLA requirements in the Tokyo office
- Provide timely support for software, hardware, and connectivity issues
- Collaborate with local leadership to improve user satisfaction and experience
- Manage IT assets and maintain accurate documentation
- Enforce security protocols and oversee secure server room operations
- Coordinate with external service providers and vendors when necessary
- Execute assigned IT projects and assist with after-hours maintenance as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT support experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS support
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, DNS, VPNs, and video conferencing tools
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and processes
- Experience in basic networking and server room infrastructure support
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft 365 administration and Intune configuration
- IT asset management and helpdesk ticketing systems
- DNS, VPN, and email systems (Exchange or equivalent)
- Server room monitoring and basic security systems management
Soft Skills:
- Strong customer service mindset and user-centric support approach
- Clear and proactive communication with internal teams and vendors
- Ability to document processes and manage IT inventories efficiently
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working off-hours when required
- Collaborative and effective in multicultural and multilingual teams
Language Requirements:
- English: Intermediate to business level
- Japanese: Conversational (required for user support in Japan)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Mandarin language ability is a plus (for frequent communication with Shanghai HQ)
- Experience in the travel or technology sectors
- Familiarity with Japanese office IT infrastructure setup
