Join a multinational insurance company as a Data Architect (Team Lead) in Tokyo, leading enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives.
In this role, you will design and implement Azure-based data platforms, including structured data layers such as landing, staging, and refined zones. You will also drive large-scale data migration and governance strategies, working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise data architecture design and modelling across Azure data platforms
- Architect structured data environments including landing, staging, and refined zones
- Drive large-scale data migration initiatives across the organisation
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks and best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements and business logic
- Lead and mentor data engineering and architecture teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Strong experience leading large-scale data migration programs
- Expertise in MDM, metadata management, and data governance frameworks
- Experience with both OLTP and OLAP systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, storage, databases)
- Advanced knowledge of relational data modelling (Star Schema, SCD)
- Proven leadership experience managing data engineering or architecture teams
- Proficiency in Python and Databricks
