A financial institution in Japan is expanding it's business and seeking a strategic leader to oversee and optimize the treasury function.
Roles/Responsibilities
- As the Head of Treasury, you will be responsible for managing the institution's liquidity, capital, and financial risks while developing and executing strategies to support our business growth.
- You will also drive revenue by optimizing the balance sheet.
- Reporting directly to the executive leadership, you will lead a small but capable team, ensuring regulatory compliance and aligning treasury activities with the organization's long-term objectives.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with banks, investors, and financial partners to secure funding and favorable terms.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, investment decisions, and asset-liability management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and risk management, to align treasury activities with overall business objectives.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments to inform strategic decision-making.
Required skills
- 7+ years in treasury, financial risk management, or a related field, with leadership experience preferred.
- Extensive money market, liquidity and funding trading experience, with a track record managing a large balance sheet.
- Fluency in English and Japanese.
