A leading global consulting firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Business Consultant (Manager level) to support transformation initiatives across the insurance industry.
In this role, you will work with major insurance clients to drive business strategy, digital transformation (DX), and new business development. From strategy design to execution, you will play a key role in helping insurers strengthen competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth while contributing to industry-defining projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop business strategies and business plans for insurance companies and support new business development initiatives.
- Plan and drive growth strategies such as M&A, strategic alliances, and business restructuring.
- Lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives including AI adoption and technology integration.
- Support product and service development as well as customer-focused marketing strategies.
- Improve sales and distribution channel strategies and modernize front-office operations.
- Drive operational transformation and DX initiatives across insurance operations, including policy administration and claims processes.
- Utilize data-driven insights to enhance customer experience (CX), employee experience (EX), and business model innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Professional experience in the insurance industry or insurance-related consulting projects.
- Experience working in consulting firms, insurance companies, or SIers supporting insurance-related initiatives.
- Foundational knowledge of insurance products, operational processes, or insurance-related systems.
- Project management experience for candidates applying at the Manager level.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
- Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to independently identify issues and propose solutions.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary experts.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent level (client-facing communication required)
- English: Intermediate
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in business strategy development, new business creation, or M&A/alliance initiatives.
- Experience in DX, BPR, or large-scale business transformation projects.
- Knowledge of data analytics, AI, cloud technologies, or emerging digital technologies.
- Experience with insurance IT architecture or system development.
- Business-level English proficiency.
