Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide real-time compliance and regulatory guidance to investment banking teams on various business activities and changes.
- Design and implement controls and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Collaborate with legal teams to address regulatory inquiries, inspections, and investigations effectively.
- Develop and update policies and procedures to align with evolving regulations and business needs.
- Deliver tailored training sessions to investment banking professionals on compliance policies, regulations, and potential risks.
- Regularly review and test compliance frameworks to assess effectiveness and address potential gaps.
Required skills
- A Bachelor's degree is required (Master's or PhD preferred), along with 1 year of relevant experience or 3-5 years in compliance, legal, or financial services.
- Fluency in English and Japanese, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred skills
- Background in equity capital markets or M&A compliance is highly desirable.
- Advanced qualifications, such as an MBA or legal degree, are advantageous but not required.
