Legal manager

A global financial services company is looking for a Legal Manager

Roles/Responsibilities

• Offer legal support for their local operations, both internally and externally.
• Understand their operations in Japan and the main legal and regulatory risks they face.
• Responsible for providing legal counsel to the organization.
• Assist business initiatives with expert advice on relevant laws and regulations.
• Oversee daily legal activities as an expert in your area and advise business partners.

Required skills

• Over 5 years of relevant industry experience, including time in international law firms or in-house legal roles in financial services, ideally in Japan or Asia, with prior managerial experience.

Preferred skills

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree
• Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken)

Personal Attributes

• Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship management abilities.
