Lead and manage security-focused projects within the Cyber Security Defense Organization, enhancing security and operational effectiveness.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans in collaboration with security engineers.
- Manage multiple ongoing security engineering projects with varying priorities.
- Coordinate communication among stakeholders across departments.
- Conduct weekly status updates to ensure alignment among sponsors, managers, and teams.
- Oversee project risk, issue, and assumption management.
- Conduct retrospectives/lessons learned and propose Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives.
- Foster a culture of project management within security teams.
Required skills
- Proven experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and diverse requirements.
- Proficiency in tracking, oversight, and reporting on multiple projects weekly using standardized formats.
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate diverse communication styles and resolve conflicts effectively.
Preferred skills
- PMP certification and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Background in cybersecurity or security consultancy.
- Some familiarity with web development/system administration
