Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow senior-level relationships with Japanese banks, insurers, and securities firms
- Originate and execute cross-product solutions across lending, markets, capital markets, and transaction banking
- Coordinate with global credit, product, and investment banking teams to deliver integrated client strategies
- Maintain high standards of risk management, compliance, and governance across all deal processes
- Contribute to the FIG strategy in Japan and mentor junior team members
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 15+ years of front-office experience in FIG coverage or institutional relationship management
- Demonstrated success in originating and executing cross-border transactions for Japanese FIs/NBFIs
- Deep product knowledge across lending, capital markets, treasury, and transaction banking
- Strong credit risk analysis capabilities and familiarity with international regulatory frameworks
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
- Proven team player with mentoring capabilities and collaborative mindset
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native
- English: Fluent business-level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as a FIG banker at a global financial institution
- Exposure to both domestic and global client coverage strategies
