Lead transformative onshore wind projects in Japan, managing teams, budgets, and stakeholders while driving sustainability and renewable energy innovation.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of onshore wind projects, from initial planning to commissioning, ensuring objectives align with budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Manage key contracts, including Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA) and Balance of Plant (BoP), to secure favorable terms and execution.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation, including financial records, compliance reports, and progress updates for stakeholders and management.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks while adapting strategies to maintain progress and adherence to scope.
- Foster stakeholder relationships, including with local communities, landowners, and government agencies, to ensure project acceptance and smooth execution.
- Lead public consultations and community engagements to address concerns and promote transparency about project plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Grid, ESG, Finance, Legal) to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Required skills
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, renewable energy, business management, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the onshore wind industry, including at least 3 years in a project management role.
- Proven expertise in managing onshore wind projects, with a strong understanding of Japan's wind and renewable energy market.
