This role offers the chance to ensure high-quality automotive projects, manage risks, and collaborate with customers and suppliers.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Oversee project quality control, ensuring that customer quality deliverables and objectives are achieved.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate unnecessary risks in projects (design, processes), escalate issues to top management when necessary.
- Design and Process Control: Ensure that DFMEA, PFMEA, and DV&PV processes consider product and process novelty; maintain 4M matrix compliance after design freeze.
- Supplier and Tool Manufacturer Support: Support internal and external suppliers by defining activities, collecting alternative solutions to issues, and integrating best practices.
- Customer Deliverables: Manage milestones, prototype and serial management plans, and ensure alignment of characteristics, FMEA, and management plans for customer validation.
- QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Participate in QRQC, ensure all issues are listed and managed, and apply QRQC rules effectively.
- Customer Interface & Delivery Inspection: Manage software changes, conduct pre-delivery quality checks, and prepare documents for customer approval before final shipment.
Required skills
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry (Tier 1 or 2 automotive parts manufacturer) or in the mobile device industry.
- Over 5 years of experience in the quality department.
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of software (beginner level) and hardware.
