EHS Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead EHS contact for active and upcoming CapEx projects

• Ensure all activities are compliant with HSA regulations, internal procedures, and relevant legislation

• Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for project activities

• Oversee contractor compliance with GA1 forms, CSCS card requirements, and site access protocols

• Contribute EHS input during design-stage risk assessments and early project planning

• Conduct regular EHS site inspections and audits across project areas

• Deliver clear and engaging EHS inductions for contractors involved in CapEx projects

• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and external contractors to ensure safe execution of work

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation for EHS activities, including reporting and follow-ups

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of EHS experience in CapEx project environments

• Strong working knowledge of HSA regulations, project safety requirements, and contractor management

• Experience with RAMS reviews, GA1 documentation, CSCS systems, and early-stage risk assessments

• Confident delivering safety briefings and inductions to varied project stakeholders

• Relevant EHS qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)

• Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication/reporting skills

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to GMP environments or pharma industry is a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage project stakeholders

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
