About the Role:
We are looking for an energetic and ambitious Financial Controller to join the management team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the role involves overseeing and developing the financial function of the organisation. This is an opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in financial management who wants to contribute to the charity sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organisation's financial functions.
- Prepare and review financial data, including monthly and annual financial reports.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, pensions, and cash control.
- Lead the annual budget planning process, financial planning, and reporting.
- Prepare financial reports and audit files, working with auditors at year-end.
- Manage and develop a small finance team.
- Lead projects to improve financial processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience in financial management - minimum 2 years.
- Strong IT skills, including financial software and reporting tools.
- Analytical thinker with a process improvement mindset.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
