Roles/Responsibilities
● Contribute to defining application requirements with the business users and project team
● Design and build test approach and test cases (technical, functional and non-functional)
● Executing functional, non-functional, performance, security, API and automated testing
● Providing results analysis, defect reports and operational reporting
● Deliver support to business users and help coordinate user acceptability
● Work with the Test Manager to identify improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing within Laya
● Assess testing tools and play a key role in tool selection
● Timely escalation of issues
● Follow the defined and agreed process
● Follow the current support procedures
Skills/Experience
● 4+ years previous testing experience
● Claims rules testing (Drools) a distinct advantage
● Experience in insurance industry a distinct advantage
● Experience of all aspects of software project life cycles using iterative development practices (DevOps)
● Strong knowledge of SQL and Test Management Tools
● Experience in JIRA and Confluence is a distinct advantage.
● Experience in execution and monitoring of automation tests is an advantage.
