Morgan McKinley is delighted to be supporting our client, a leading Cork based multinational who are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior International Tax accountant to join their team.
In this role, you will play a key role in:
- Supporting senior international tax managers with international tax reporting and accounting.
- Assisting the US and international tax controversy teams on tax audits across the EMEA region.
- Contributing to the compliance and reporting aspects of mergers, acquisitions, business expansions, and internal restructurings across EMEA.
- Working closely with the international tax teams and the EMEA Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support international tax compliance and reporting for mergers, acquisitions, business expansions, and internal restructurings across EMEA.
- Collaborate with US and international tax controversy teams on tax audits across EMEA.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with tax technology teams to streamline recurring calculations and corporate tax requirements.
- Manage project readiness initiatives and programs for the EMEA Foreign Reporting and Compliance Team.
- Research and document technical tax and tax accounting issues across EMEA.
- Stay up-to-date on new laws and regulations across EMEA and their impact on the company structure and business.
- Review international aspects of the worldwide income tax provision.
- Support the Foreign Reporting and Compliance teams on income tax return compliance and income tax accounting under various accounting standards.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in international tax with a Big 4 Accounting Firm or a multinational corporate tax department.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes under US GAAP, IFRS, or similar accounting rules.
- Experience with domestic and/or international tax.
- ACA & CTA / equivalent professional qualification.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project or program management.
- Strong operational tax background.
- Ability to drive process improvements.
