Site Engineer (Consultancy) - Cork
Salary & Package - €45-55k, pension, bonus, healthcare
Our client is an established consultancy based in Cork and has been in operation for nearly 25 years. They have extensive experience in the design, administration and supervision of civil, structural and environmental engineering projects in the private and public sectors. Their projects include corporate, commercial, industrial, leisure, education and health related schemes.
They are currently on the lookout for Civil/Structural/Mechanical Site Engineers to work on projects for multinational companies based in Ireland.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be the onsite presence for the consulting engineering business
- Supervise the delivery of the project by the contractor
- Record and report on all site-based activities
- Liaise with the design team and contractors to provide guidance on site, schedule works with subcontractors.
- Track and approve any changes
- Monitor H&S on site and site security
- Attend progress meeting and ensure all reported issues dealt with in timely manner
- Attend site inspections, prepare snagging reports, and ensure handover of work delivered
- Carrying out other duties as may arise from time to time
Requirements:
- 3rd level Engineering or Construction degree
- Minimum 2-3 years relevant site experience
- Ability to practically solve/relay problems in a construction/technical environment.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations
- Good leadership skills and attention to detail
- Strong Communication skills
- Experience in using Microsoft Office Software. AutoCAD/ Microsoft Project experience ideal but not essential.
