About the Role:
I am working with an SME who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to join t team on a short-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for a professional who can hit the ground running and provide essential support during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers and reconciliations.
* Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
* Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
* Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
* Ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting regulations.
* Assist in auditing processes and financial analysis as required.
* Provide general accounting support to the finance team.
Key Requirements:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred but not essential.
* Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Availability to start immediately or on short notice.
