Morgan McKinley has partnered with a Global Banking client as they look to hire an Application Support Analyst.
In this role you will assist with application and user support to ensure IT systems availability, reliability, and performance that support business processes globally. Perform proactive application health checks to prevent potential failures and manage the Incident through to completion. Engage various IT teams in resolving incidents efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications end experience:
- Degree in Engineering or Comp Science preferred or relevant industry experience
- Overall, at least 5 years of prior experience as IT Support Analyst or having a development background in Investment banking industry.
- Strong Unix/Linux experience
- Solid infrastructure understanding
- Experience in writing SQL (data retrieval/update/inserts) on DB2 / Oracle / MS SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
- Experience in Regulatory and Banking Operations technologies such as payments, reconciliation, settlements and confirmations.
- Experience in supporting critical, time sensitive and complex applications. Able to demonstrate effective engagement with the different technology partners in resolving issues.
- Experience in a lead role desirable
- Experience in scripting, automation and process improvement.
- Experience in messaging, middleware, Java application servers
- Knowledge of financial securities.
