Job Overview:
My client, based in West Cork, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and gas-fired products across Ireland. The role focuses on expanding the customer base, building strong client relationships, and meeting sales targets, with a need for technical expertise and the ability to present complex solutions to contractors, engineers, and facility managers.

Location: Ideally based in North Dublin, Meath, Westmeath, Louth, Armagh
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on managing an established client base while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Responsible for generating new sales leads from both existing clients and potential customers in target market segments within the region.
- Strengthening and expanding relationships with key accounts is essential to ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for sales growth.
- Ability to provide expert guidance on AHUs and gas-fired products, covering technical specifications, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance, helping customers make informed decisions.
- Driving sales performance to meet or exceed targets, and provide regular updates, forecasts, and activity reports to the management team.
- Prepare tailored proposals and quotations that align with both technical and financial client requirements.
- Delivers post-sale support, addressing technical queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams, ensuring thorough product knowledge, installation, and maintenance processes.
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to refine sales strategy.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including engineering, technical support, and production.
- Ensure regulatory compliance throughout the sales process.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical background in engineering, mechanical systems, or HVAC preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales within HVAC or gas-fired product sectors.
- Proven success in a technical or B2B sales environment, with experience managing key accounts and consistently achieving sales targets.
- Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical information
- Skilled negotiator with a customer-centric approach to closing deals
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and long sales cycles
- Familiarity with AHU market and gas-fired heating systems highly advantageous
- Full, clean driving license required
