As the Analyst - Commercial Finance Business Partner you will support a range of business functions across the Bank, evaluate commercially focused strategic initiatives from a financial point of view as well as providing insightful analysis to drive business conversations.
The Analyst will also be responsible for components of the team's ongoing measurement and reporting of financial performance activities, whilst also supporting the team on day-to-day deliverables, ad-hoc tasks and reporting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support with the financial assessment of various commercial initiatives, such as the financial viability of new products or product re-designs, assessing proposed price changes and feasibility of new partnerships with external parties. This will involve using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
- Support the delivery of a risk assured, performance focused, operationally excellent Management Reporting & Planning function while embedding a culture of quality service delivery to all customers & stakeholders
- Understand each of the key income drivers of the business, with an ability to articulate and discuss insights with colleagues of varying degrees of seniority, up to and including executive level, and to challenging conversations with key stakeholders
- Support the operational delivery of the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Group; support the consolidation and review of management packs for ExCo discussions during the finalisation of budgets
- Accountable for the preparation of presentations for key audiences, identifying key trends / issues / recommendations and the provision of support to the business community as required
- Work with team to manage detailed inputs for budget and reforecast models
- Build robust relationships with the Finance senior management team and all other key stakeholders and customers
Requirements:
- Holder of a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
- Experience in business partnering/management reporting and analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint required
- Strong organisational and analytical capabilities with a good working knowledge of best practice financial processes/ systems and proven ability to lead the development of same
- Proven ability to engage with and deliver for Finance teams and Senior Management
- Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Ambitious with an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
