Job Description
Morgan McKinley is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Dublin who are looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team.
The position offers the candidate the opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans which is driven by their market leading brand and best in class product range. As the Financial Controller you will support the Finance Director in optimising how the finance team supports the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
- Lead a team of four, including remote staff.
- Prepare timely monthly financial statements in compliance with local GAAP.
- Provide insightful commentary on financial performance and conduct variance reporting.
- Manage cash forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Monitor costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Prepare quarterly performance reports for investors and lenders.
- Collaborate on year-end audits and ensure timely reporting.
- Develop internal controls and business processes.
- Coordinate budget preparation and financial forecasts.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with at least four years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience in engineering and manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial/ERP systems.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Team player with excellent communication abilities.
- Proactive problem solver who thrives under pressure.
- Analytical thinker capable of making informed decisions.
