Resident Engineer - Dublin

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee and supervise ground investigation works for a major transportation project in the Dublin area. This is a key role requiring strong expertise in civil construction supervision to ensure the successful execution of critical site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage ground investigation works, including site preparation, drilling, sampling, and testing.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and technical standards.
- Review and interpret design drawings, technical reports, and method statements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, recording progress, quality, and compliance issues.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting any issues or delays.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all site activities, including test results and contractor submissions.
- Provide technical support and advice to the project team as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in civil construction, with a knowledge of ground investigation works.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ground investigation methods, techniques, and standards.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in Ireland.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
