The Senior Internal Communications Manager is responsible for leading and directing the internal communications function. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned communications professional with a proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans, manage complex projects, and provide counsel to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive internal communication strategies.
- Lead the Internal Communications team.
- Provide internal communications counsel to senior management across the the client.
- Lead the delivery of content for organizational events such as Townhalls and key reports.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Internal Communications initiatives and channels through data analysis and respond to employee feedback.
- Manage the internal communication response to crisis situations affecting organizational perception and reputation.
- Manage the ownership and procurement of key internal communication platforms, channels, and technology.
- Oversee change communications for People Function projects and other major initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with People Function teams to enhance employee experience.
- Partner and align messaging of internal and external communications.
- Develop and manage the Internal Communications budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Specialist internal communications and/or change management education/experience.
- 8+ years of experience in internal/employee communications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to measure and report on communication effectiveness.
- Writing skills: excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Communication skills: strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Creative skills: ability to devise communication strategies, particularly with a digital-first approach.
- Attention to detail: keen eye for accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Experience in the public sector or financial services industry.
