My client, a leading MNC based in Kilkenny, are seeking a Temporary Financial Accountant to join their Accounting & Reporting (A&R) team. This role will support A&R Managers and Senior Managers in delivering accurate and timely financial accounting and management reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in period-end, year-end, and planning processes while contributing to the overall financial success of the organization. The role is a 12mth contract and the succesful candidate will be required to be onsite 2/3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly and year-end financial and management accounts.
- Compile reporting packs for Group and Senior Management in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide detailed analysis and supporting information to help management understand business performance and enable value-added decision-making.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and controls to align with evolving business needs.
- Assist the A&R Manager with operational and commercial reporting requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, contributing to statutory reporting and tax compliance schedules.
- Manage SAP data uploads related to Budget/Forecast and support planning processes.
- Advocate adherence to Group Policy and ensure compliance with all relevant updates.
Key Requirements:
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
- Experience in a multinational organization or medium-to-large practice preferred.
- Strong financial reporting knowledge (IAS/IFRS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems e.g., SAP, data warehousing platforms, or report design is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret complex financial and commercial issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Analytical rigor with a strong focus on detail, combined with a commercial and strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
- Growth mindset with a proactive, self-starting approach.
