OVERVIEW
An Oracle Forms/Oracle APEX Applications Developer primarily responsible for developing new applications and supporting & enhancing existing applications using Oracle Forms, Oracle Application Express (APEX), PL/SQL, and other development tools. The role involves close collaboration with business analysts, IT resources, consultants, and Oracle support for resolving production issues in the Oracle Forms & Oracle APEX systems. This individual must possess strong analytical abilities, excellent troubleshooting, programming, and unit testing skills. Additionally, they should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly in documenting technical designs and approaches within a Technical Design Documentation framework.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the Information Technology field
- 5+ years of progressive experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle Database products
- Strong understanding of Oracle technology solutions and strategic direction
- Proven ability to recommend solutions based on complexity and scope
- Expertise in writing detailed technical requirement documents
- Demonstrated capability to learn new technologies swiftly
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Oracle Forms & Oracle APEX development and maintenance, implementation, performance tuning, and migration
- Experience with custom theming, interactive reporting, and dynamic actions in APEX
- Proficiency in using jQuery, jQuery UI, and jQuery Mobile within APEX applications
- Enforce SQL and PL/SQL coding standards and best practices
- Ability to generate statistical reports and prepare project status reports for management and team members
- Development and maintenance of technical documentation, user documentation, and process guidelines
- Strong leadership skills focused on achieving business outcomes and project deadlines
- Effective communication and rapport-building with team members, business stakeholders, and clients
- Rapid adaptability to new concepts and innovations, staying updated with industry trends
- Proficiency in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, scripting, and tools like TOAD
- Experience in collaborating with Oracle Support for resolving functional and technical bugs
- Additional duties as assigned
