Director of Category Management, Indirect- IT
Position Summary
The Director of Category Management leads strategic sourcing and supplier management for $200M in indirect spend, including IT hardware, software, cloud services, and consulting. This role develops and aligns category strategies with business objectives, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives supplier performance. Leading a high-performing team, the Director focuses on cost optimization, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy Development:
- Establish and implement global sourcing and contracting strategies for indirect procurement categories.
- Develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models in collaboration with stakeholders.

Supplier and Partner Management:
- Manage a preferred supplier program to ensure business continuity, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Drive compliance with data protection regulations and business policies.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with business leaders to identify innovative and sustainable value opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams using spend analysis, market research, and cost modeling to support decision-making.

Process and Performance Optimization:
- Standardize procurement processes with tools and templates for consistency and efficiency.
- Implement measures to mitigate supply chain risks and enhance operational resilience.

Leadership and Execution:
- Lead, mentor, and develop talent to build a high-performing procurement team.
- Deliver measurable results aligned with global and regional procurement strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or Supply Chain.
- 10-15 years of strategic sourcing experience, with expertise in IT categories.
- Proven leadership skills, with 10+ years managing teams.
- Strong business acumen and execution-oriented mindset.
