We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of NEC Contracts to join a leading contractor on a large-scale infrastructure project based in Limerick, Cork or Dublin.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a team responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying across the project lifecycle, from initial procurement through to final account settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the quantity surveying team on-site, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Oversee the preparation and management of NEC contracts, ensuring that all obligations, timelines, and milestones are adhered to.
- Provide accurate cost estimates, budget forecasts, and financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the project team, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to resolve any contractual and financial issues that arise.
- Manage the preparation and submission of interim applications for payment and final accounts.
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with project costs, ensuring proactive solutions to any financial challenges.
- Liaise closely with the legal and commercial teams to resolve disputes and ensure the project runs smoothly.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Extensive experience with NEC contracts
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, contract administration, and risk management.
- Demonstrable experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting on major projects.
- Full knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
