Morgan McKinley are currently recruiting a Buyer to join an expanding multinational manufacturing company in Wexford.
Joining a growing team, this Buyer will focus on supporting the purchasing team, supplier management and meeting customer service expectations. Based in Wexford with hybrid working options, the position would suit an enthusiastic team worker who is seeking a rewarding career in a dynamic Supply Chain environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the Purchasing Team with all purchasing related activity.
- Develop and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and purchase orders ensuring alignment with company policies, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor and review supplier performance to ensure adherence to contract terms and expectations.
- Management of all day to day aspects of Vendor relationship.
- Complete supplier performance reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor material usage, forecast demand, and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
- Address and resolve any supply chain issues, including delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to build a strong team who are clear on their responsibilities and are measured to KPI's.
Key Requirements:
- 4+ years supply chain or purchasing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong SAP knowledge and expertise
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
