A large corporation is looking for an Electrical & Mechanical Inspector. With operational demands, they are currently recruiting for individuals who can act as duty-in-charge for overhaul electrical equipment.
About The Role
As an Electrical & Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for acting as the duty-in-charge to ensure smooth liaison and implementation works for cable car operations with government bodies (EMSD, FSD), and land administration officials.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department - Hong Kong (EMSD) for the vetting process of aerial ropeway (mechanical, electrical, and control) to ensure permit to use/ operate applications are pursuant to local ordinance and code of practice
- Act as focal point internally for engineering operation and maintenance department for design review, installation support, and testing & commissioning for aerial ropeway
- Manage overhaul equipment maintenance activities such as but not limited to: downtime & emergencies
- Drive and achieve overall Maintenance Safety & Reliability index across the organisation
Job Requirements
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor's Degree of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or any relevant Engineering discipline of studies
- Minimum 5 years of operation and maintenance experience, preferably obtained within a sizeable corporation
- Candidate who is Certified of Operating Competence - Competent Person (Aerial Ropeways, Cap 211) is preferred
- Registered Electrical Worker of Grade B(0) or above is preferred
- Previous experience to project management or operation and maintenance works for cable car systems is required
- Knowledge in handling equipment such as but not limited to steel wire ropes, gearboxes, traction sheaves, drive and brake systems will be considered
- Fluency in both written and spoken Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
- Strong interpersonal skillset to facilitate work with government officials and key stakeholders for a smooth project delivery
- Immediate availability is highly preferred
