Roles/Responsibilities
- No Team / People management is required.
- To ensure compliance with IFRS and J-GAAP, oversee General Ledger control and maintain an effective internal control system to produce accurate books, records, and management accounts.
- Support the General Ledger reconciliation and attestation process by performing reconciliations, reviewing outputs, and conducting quality assurance testing of controls.
- Manage legal entity statutory reporting, including audits, and regulatory reporting to Japanese regulators (FSA, JSDA etc.).
- Monitor regulatory requirement and collaborate with other stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues.
- To assist the Head of Finance in preparing working papers for annual tax returns, audits, and updating procedure manuals to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Required skills
- Fluent Japanese and business English.
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
- 7~10 years of Finance experience in the banking or financial services sector.
Preferred skills
- Understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS) and Japanese accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting for banks or securities firms.
