Lead a dynamic APAC IT team focused on delivering systems support solutions that enhance business-critical applications for the Japan market.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the IT team by providing technical guidance and support, reviewing procurement specifications, and addressing operational issues in Japan.
- Collaborate with management to design current and future global support processes, integrating input from local business departments and regional IT teams.
- Oversee the implementation of system enhancements, manage daily operations, and troubleshoot existing systems.
- Gather requirements and support the configuration of store POS systems and back-office systems
- Provide technical support, user training, and implement customized Windows PC systems while managing IT infrastructure and network.
- Collaborate closely with the Shared Service Center IT in Hong Kong and headquarters' IT teams to support various systems, including Store POS and data warehouse systems.
Required skills
- Possess several years of professional experience in application management or operations, with strong knowledge in SAP application consulting or development.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a solid understanding of Windows or UNIX operating systems, including client-server architecture and IT network infrastructure concepts.
- POS background
- Experience collaborating with business users and IT teams to implement system solutions.
- Project management experience.
- Over 5 years of progressively responsible IT experience, showcasing strong customer service skills and being a reliable team player.
- Fluency in Japanese and business level English.
Preferred skills
- A strong understanding and eagerness to explore cross-functional issues.
- Problem-solving complexity may vary from low to high, with support from peers and management available as needed.
- Experience with merchandising systems and/or warehouse management systems.
- Internal project management experience.
