Our client, a prominent Global Conglomerate within the FMCG industry is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager/Manager in Procurement to lead strategic initiatives across their Indirect categories in the Region. This is a key leadership position, you will be responsible for managing end to end strategic procurement functionality in driving cost savings opportunity that helps create long term value with key suppliers in the region.
Additional Responsibilities:
Policy & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Procurement policies and guidelines at the local level, aligning with regional and global directives.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance and Compliance departments to monitor Procure-to-Pay process compliance with corporate standards.
- Conduct training and communication sessions to educate stakeholders on the proper procurement process for brand teams and department requestors.
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
- Collaborate with stakeholders and budget owners to support sourcing projects across major categories such as retail store fit-outs, marketing events, PR services, visual merchandising, IT, logistics, and more.
- Lead significant sourcing projects from RFP/tender to delivery, including supplier sourcing, pre-qualification, evaluation, and award processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, synergy, and drive cost savings and added value for the business.
- Support and coordinate regional and global procurement initiatives and projects.
Sustainable Procurement
- Regularly optimize the supplier panel through performance reviews and stakeholder feedback.
- Manage daily business relationships with local suppliers, continuously evaluating and improving vendor performance.
- Conduct annual supplier evaluations and CSR audits.
- Integrate sustainability into all projects and provide support for group/region ESG initiatives.
- Management Reporting
- Oversee quarterly procurement reporting, including dashboards, spend analysis, and procurement project updates.
- Consistently update and communicate procurement initiatives to the local senior management team.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of professional experience, with at least 4-5 years in procurement roles.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, with experience in managing indirect categories and/or working in the luxury industry a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders across the Region.
- This includes strong presentation and negotiation abilities to drive initiatives and achieve results.
- Proactive, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude, eager to learn.
- Team player with a strong collaborative spirit.
