New opportunity in Cork for an Accounts Payable Team lead within a leading multinational in Cork.
Previous experience in a people management role is essential for this position.
This role will play a pivotal role in managing a high-performing Accounts Payable team and you will ensure the team meets key operational targets and driving the strategic development of processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
This role will work hybrid in Cork with 2 days in the office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of 10 direct reports responsible for invoice processing, discrepancy resolution, and payments.
- Ensure delivery of KPIs and adherence to SLAs.
- Act as the first escalation point for issue resolution, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
- Drive process efficiency, accuracy, and an excellent stakeholder experience.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to meet organizational goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end deliverables, including cash management and accruals.
- Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and support internal/external audits.
- Support additional activities to help the Global Business Services Centre achieve its SLAs.
- Set clear goals and objectives for team members, aligning individual aspirations with business needs.
- Foster career development through effective 1:1s and team meetings.
- Ensure Standard Operating Processes are understood and consistently followed.
- Promote the organization's cultural values and lead by example in meeting deadlines, addressing escalations, and maintaining accountability.
- Conduct open, collaborative team meetings and encourage an environment of trust and transparency.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a people management position
- In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced multinational or Shared Services environment is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Customer-focused, results-driven, and skilled in building relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
