We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team of a global leader in the life sciences industry at their state-of-the-art facility in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in reliability engineering, focusing on the implementation and continuous improvement of the Maintenance Excellence Programme (MEP). This role will drive root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) activities to ensure the effective maintenance and optimisation of equipment, systems, and utilities.
Lead and implement Reliability Engineering and Asset Management programs
Facilitate RCA and RCM to address reliability issues
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance and reliability objectives are met
Support sustainability and energy management programs
Assist in capital project planning and execution
Maintain compliance with industry standards and internal policies
Third-level engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in biopharma, food, or similar regulated industries
Experience with reliability engineering, asset management, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, RCM, RCA)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications
Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo)
A track record of delivering reliability and maintenance projects within budget and on time
