Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the layout and organization of the warehouse and storage areas, considering factors such as turnover, size, weight, and the nature of stored items.
Play an active role in recruiting and onboarding warehouse staff.
Manage operations in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure adequate operational resources to deliver high service levels without compromising efficiency.
Address complaints, issues, and operational failures promptly, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders and thorough documentation.
Oversee the routine maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure smooth operations.
Plan, direct, schedule, and assign tasks for warehouse staff to maintain an organized workflow.
Provide guidance to employees on the proper handling, storage, and shipping of items, emphasizing preservation and care.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance efficiency and foster a cohesive work environment.
Monitor and implement cost-control measures to maximize gross profit and contributions.
Maintain the operational reliability of warehouse equipment and other company assets.
Serve as the escalation point for operational challenges within the station's activities.
Train employees on specific duties and support their professional growth through coaching and mentorship.
Proactively suggest and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Uphold best practices in health, safety, quality, and security within the team.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the operation.
