As Control Tower Operations Manager you will be joining a leading global logistics player who specialise in air, ocean and road freight. The ideal candidate for this role will ideally have strong air freight experience and a customer service background as well. The successful candidate will lead a team of 10 employees so a strong people management background is highly desireable.
This is a full time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary liaison between operations and clients for assigned accounts, ensuring client processes and procedural requirements are implemented effectively.
- Builds, manages, and nurtures relationships at the local level, both internally and externally.
- Ensures shipments are handled according to established procedures, ISO compliance standards, and specific client requirements.
- Maximizes profitability by delivering exceptional service, maintaining clear communication, and promptly addressing pending matters.
- Acts as the main point of contact and escalation for client concerns.
- Collaborates with the global account management team to ensure consistent service across the network.
- Verifies the accuracy and timely distribution of reports.
- Develops solutions for client needs in coordination with the global account management network and operations team to drive continuous improvement.
- Participates in and oversees quoting processes and RFQs.
- Works closely with Implementation Managers and Operations teams on new business integration.
- Manages the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process with clients.
- Conducts regular reviews, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly sessions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both clients and internal personnel.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization
- Minimum five years industry or related experience required
