An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting & Controls Lead to join a leading multinational pharmaceutical company based in North Dublin on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of three, reporting directly to the Senior Management Team. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic, fast-growing organisation with a collaborative and results-driven finance team.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in pharmaceutical or logistics industries and a proven track record in a global or multinational environment. Strong organisational and communication skills, coupled with a passion for leadership, will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company's accounting systems, ensuring accurate data entry and robust financial reporting.
- Manage both strategic and operational finance functions, including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger activities, to maintain efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory financial requirements in a timely manner.
- Conduct tax reviews to optimise financial efficiency, oversee tax filings, manage audits, and ensure full compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
- Produce monthly financial reports, analyse key data trends, and provide ad hoc financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain responsibility for lease management, ensuring updates are completed each month.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to guarantee compliance and accurate financial reporting.
Key Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA) with a solid foundation in financial reporting, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical, logistics, or multinational sectors.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, audit management, and budgeting processes.
- Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex financial data and delivering strategic insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong IT skills to support financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and present financial information to senior leadership.
