A client based in Dublin is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a 12-month hourly rate contract.
This role will include overseeing equipment qualification, enhancing maintenance procedures, and working with various teams to drive process improvements and resolve equipment-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and guide technical projects from initial concept through to design, construction, commissioning, and operational stages.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope and ensure all objectives are achieved.
- Support the introduction of new products and processes, offering troubleshooting and direct support on the production floor.
- Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, manage spare parts inventory, and handle change controls.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analysis and work on Cross-Functional Investigations.
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including specifications, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate with teams across maintenance, project engineering, and suppliers for equipment upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards.
- Promote a safe work environment and comply with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, ideally within the biotechnology or aseptic pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong project management skills, with a solid background in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience in technology transfer, change control, and working within GDP-compliant settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and document management systems.
- Capable of making data-driven decisions and managing tasks under pressure in fast-paced environments.
