Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a leading FMCG to recruit a Supply Planner to join their expanding supply chain team.
The Supply Planner will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely supply of products to meet market demand, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory. The role involves close collaboration with production, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to forecast demand, manage suppliers, and improve the overall supply chain process.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, ensuring product availability to meet customer needs while minimizing excess inventory.
- Collaborate with demand planners to align on forecasts and adjust supply plans accordingly.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock without overstocking or understocking, reducing stockouts and minimizing working capital costs.
- Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and develop action plans to address them.
- Monitor supplier performance and work with procurement teams to negotiate terms and manage lead times.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and demand planning teams to understand upcoming promotions, product launches, and market trends, adjusting supply plans accordingly.
- Generate reports and KPIs related to inventory levels, stockouts, forecast accuracy, and supplier performance.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of FMCG supply chain dynamics, including inventory management, lead times, and demand forecasting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high SKU turnover and complex supply chains.
