Our client, a Munster based civil contractor, is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join their team for a project in North Cork. The majority of their other projects are in Kerry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use of surveying equipment to accurately mark out the site in accordance with project plans and drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Liaise with the project manager, contractors, and design team to ensure work is executed efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to the specified standards and is in compliance with client expectations and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols, ensuring all operations are carried out in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage deliveries and coordinate materials required on-site for smooth project progression.
- Maintain detailed and accurate site records, progress reports, and manage any issues arising during construction.
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 2-3 years' experience as a Site Engineer in civil works.
- Proficiency in setting out using total stations, GPS, and other surveying instruments.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a proactive approach to implementing safety measures on-site.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
- Full, clean driving licence
