In this strategic role, you will lead compliance initiatives, ensuring regulatory adherence and risk management within Japan's fast-growing payments sector. You will drive the development of compliance programs, monitor regulatory changes, and support business expansion while maintaining industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and support business units in developing regulatory-compliant initiatives.
- Develop and enforce compliance programs to meet legal and industry standards, including the Installment Sales Act.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes in the payments industry and assess their impact.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks in the payments sector through strategic planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a compliance role within the payments industry or a related financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the payments industry.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with global compliance standards and best practices.
