    About the job

    Join a global technology leader as a Learning and Development Manager, driving talent and capability-building initiatives across Japan and the APAC region. In this strategic HR role, you will plan, design, and deliver impactful learning and development (L&D) programs that foster employee growth, leadership readiness, and organizational performance. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional passionate about cultivating a learning culture within an innovative, international company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, develop, and implement learning and talent development programs across Japan and APAC.

    • Partner with HR and business leaders to analyze talent data, assess organizational readiness, and design targeted development strategies.

    • Lead training needs assessments to identify learning gaps and develop competency-based solutions.

    • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure effective program delivery and quality standards.

    • Design, facilitate, and evaluate leadership, management, and sales training programs, including initiatives for high-potential employees.

    • Collaborate with regional and global teams to align programs with company-wide learning strategies and digital transformation goals.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • 8-10 years of professional experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or Talent Management.

    • Proven experience managing L&D programs across Japan and/or APAC.

    Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of learning frameworks, instructional design, and digital learning tools.

    • Experience in vendor management, training facilitation, and program evaluation.

    Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to influence and inspire others.

    • Strong project management skills in a matrixed, fast-paced global environment.

    Language Requirements

    • Japanese: Native-level proficiency (required for local employee engagement).
    • English: Fluent (required for APAC and global collaboration).

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience working in a global technology or IT company.
    • Familiarity with leadership development frameworks and succession planning.
    • Certified professional credentials (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, or coaching certifications) are advantageous.
