Join a global technology leader as a Senior Legal Counsel, advising on managed services, complex transactions, and regulatory compliance for its Solutions & Services Group (SSG). This high-impact role involves working on strategic legal matters, shaping governance frameworks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive global business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish legal requirements and governance frameworks for large-scale, complex deals.
- Advise the SSG Managed Services Team on regulatory and commercial legal issues, ensuring compliance across services, software, and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal teams, subject matter experts, and global stakeholders to develop legal strategies.
- Work closely with Sales and Commercial Contract Management teams to negotiate and finalize high-value agreements.
- Support the development and global rollout of new solutions and services, including drafting legal templates and maintaining a legal resource library.
- Assist in creating go-to-market models for IaaS offerings and provide training and resources to internal teams.
- Streamline engagement processes between legal and service development teams to enhance operational effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 12+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience, advising on new solutions, SaaS, and software development.
- Strong track record in risk management, leadership advisory, and complex deal negotiations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced global environment.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong leadership in providing business and legal judgment.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native (required for regulatory compliance and negotiations).
- English: Fluent (required for global communication and contract review).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in global or national law firms or in-house legal roles at technology-driven companies.
- Familiarity with emerging tech regulations, SaaS licensing, and cross-border legal frameworks.
